Once again the Palompon Institute of Technology celebrates its anniversary now aptly named  “PIT @ 39: Soaring to Greater Heights” beginning August 31 to September 2, 2011 with various activities lined up for all the parents enrolled in the said school, but also to the general public of Palompon, Leyte
where the school is located.

The day to day activity starts at 7:00 AM with a thanksgiving mass at the PIT Gym to give praise to the Almighty God for allowing the said school to survive all these years, making the PIT the school of choice in Region 8 with respect to education, culture and job availability to graduates.

Immediately thereafter, the much expected town parade participated in by the different departments and campus with the following order of the parade:
Marshall & Colors

Marshalls, Colors, High School Drum and Lyre Corps with the students and faculty of the College of Maritime Education together with Miss PIT candidate ISNAIRAH CECILLE I. DUGAN.
Isnairah Cecile I. Dugan - Miss COMEd
Mara Erika Licardo - Miss LHS
Followed by the College of Education where the BSHTE, BSET, BEEd, LHS students and faculty ably marches on fully supportive of their candidate ROVILLEJAE M. LIMPANGOG as Miss COEd.
Rovillejae M. Limpangog - Miss COEd

The College of Technology and Engineering was also ably represented by the different engineering sections such as BSIT, BS Infotech, BSEng, BSME, BSEE and COTE faculty with MARIA DIANA C. TABON, Miss COEd as their bet for Miss PIT.

Louise Suzane A. Gonzales - Miss CAS
Not far behind from COTE are the students and faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences where the BSSM, AB Communication, BSHRM, and CAS subjects are being taught. LOUISE SUZANE A. GONZALES this years Miss CAS was all smiles as she passed the small crowd in front of SM Palompon. A trait that should not be forgotten if one is aspiring to be a public figure, particularly women beauties.

Almee Jane B. Damayo - Miss MRVNPC
A motley crowd of students and faculty coming from the MRVNPC-PIT Tabango Campus was also enthusiastically in good spirits during the parade, where their own candidate for Ms. PIT, ALMEE JANE B. DAMAYO, was also in high spirits to say the least, since they all have equal chances to win in this years beauty pageant.
Joni Dawn F. Baldos - Miss CAEd
College of Advanced Education students and faculty was also very much supportive of their own candidate for Ms. PIT with the bubbly JONI DAWN F. BALDOS, daughter of the ever loyal church organist of the Saint Francis Xavier Parish of Palompon, Leyte. Well, as they say “may the best ‘woman’ win”.
Genibe P. Pilapil - Miss AAPPTT

Well the PIT Administrative personnel won’t let their pants down by having their own representative in the annual selection of Ms. PIT. Ms. GENIBE P. PILAPIL represents the personnel of the Administrative Services to make the fight for this years crown more exiting and thrilling.
April Cristine Coscos - Miss PIT 2010
Of course, we should not forget the reign of the Miss PIT 2010 APRIL CRISTINE COSCOS. Now that her fruitful term had come to an end, she just wished that there might be some other time where she can represent again her alma mater in whatever capacity she might be allowed.

Cultural Dancers1
On the sideline, we should not forget many unnamed participants which will always make the celebration a success like the cultural dancers that almost always are being utilized by the school faculty and administration.
